Things we learned on these shoots.

// 01

Golden hour has never let us down

Across every brief we've shot, golden hour lighting has satisfied us and our clients. It's the one condition we know we can deliver on, no matter the car, the location, or the weather. Apps try to time it down to the minute; we trust the window and shoot through it.

// 02

Planning makes the difference

Location, sun window, shot list, gear list: every job we shoot starts with a one-page brief that locks all four. Half-day shoots run on rails because nothing is figured out on set. We pad 15 minutes on the call sheet for the unexpected; the rest of the day goes exactly to plan.

// 03

We shoot roller at 24 FPS

Most of our cinematic and roller shots are 24p: the frame rate film audiences expect, and what lets on-camera motion read as motion, not video. Higher frame rates are reserved for specific slow-motion beats. The rest of the master is 24 FPS end to end so the cut feels cohesive.

// 04

Audio is half the cut

The cut lives or dies on the audio bed. We run a stereo ambient mic on the camera body for every shoot, and we record scratch vocals and on-set SFX even when we know we'll re-record them in post. The reason our masters feel cinematic isn't the lens; it's the layer of sound under the picture that no one notices but everyone feels.
